Kakum National Park

National park in southern Ghana, with forest elephants, Diana monkeys & the treetop Canopy Walkway.

Mole National Park

Mole National Park protects an area of savannah and forest in northern Ghana. It’s home to elephants, leopards and rare birds such as the white-backed vulture.

Nzulenzu

Nzulezo is a village located near the village of Beyin, 90 kilometers west of Takoradi, in the Jomoro District jomoro the Western Region of Ghana. Nzulezu overlooks Lake Tadane, and is entirely made up of stilts and platforms.

Black Star Square

The Independence Arch in Accra, Ghana, is part of the Independence Square which contains monuments to Ghana’s independence struggle, including the Independence Arch, Black Star Gate, and the Liberation Day Monument.

Kwame Nkurumah Memorial Park & Mausoleum

It is dedicated to the prominent Ghanaian President, Kwame Nkurumah. The memorial complex was dedicated in 1992, and is situated on the site of the former British colonial polo grounds in Accra. It is the spot where Nkrumah made the declaration of Ghana’s independence.

Manhyia Palace

The Manhyia Palace is the seat of the Asantehene of Asanteman, as well as his official residence. It is located at Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Kingdom and Ashanti Region. The first palace is now a museum.

National Museum of Ghana

The National Museum of Ghana is in the Ghanaian capital, Accra. It is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board. The museum building was opened on 5 March 1957 as part of Ghana’s independence celebrations.

Lake Bosomtwe

Lake Bosumtwi is the only natural lake in Ghana. It is situated within an ancient impact crater that is about 10.5 kilometres in diameter. It is about 30 km south-east of Kumasi the capital of Ashanti and is a popular recreational area.
